How it works

With end-of-month terms the clock starts at the end of the invoice month, not on the invoice date. EOMONTH(B2,0) finds that month end, and adding the days in F1 gives the due date, so every January invoice is due on March 2.

=EOMONTH(B2,0)+$F$1

Result46083

  1. B21/8/2026

    The value in B2.

  2. EOMONTH(B2,0)1/31/2026 (46053)

EOMONTH: Last day of the month, months away.

  3. $F$130

    The value in F1.

  4. EOMONTH(B2,0)+$F$146083

    The + operator adds.

In Google Sheets

The same formula works in Google Sheets: =EOMONTH(B2,0)+$F$1. We ran it in Google Sheets mode on the same data and it returns the same results.

Other ways to do it

Each one was run on the same example sheet.

FormulaResultWhen to use it
=EOMONTH(B2,1)2/28/2026, 3/31/2026, 4/30/2026…Different resultSome suppliers read "Net 30 EOM" as the end of the following month. Due on the last day of the next month.
=B2+$F$12/7/2026, 3/22/2026, 4/30/2026…Different resultPlain Net 30, counted from the invoice date. Counts from the invoice date.

Common mistakes

  • Terms wording varies. Confirm whether "EOM" means 30 days after the month end or the end of the next month.
  • A due date on a weekend usually moves to the next business day: =WORKDAY(EOMONTH(B2,0)+$F$1-1,1).

Try it yourself

Same data, empty answer cell. Your formula is graded instantly, then re-checked on changed data, so a typed-in number won't pass.
