How to list all dates between two dates in Excel

Formula (Excel and Google Sheets)

=SEQUENCE(B2-B1+1,1,B1)

Use SEQUENCE starting at the start date: =SEQUENCE(B2-B1+1,1,B1), and format the results as dates.

Result on the example

The formula is already in D2. Change any input and the result updates, or edit the formula to experiment.

How it works

SEQUENCE(rows, columns, start) counts up from the start date one day at a time. B2-B1+1 is the number of days including both ends, so the list stops on the end date. Format the spill range as dates.

=SEQUENCE(B2-B1+1,1,B1)

Result{8 rows × 1 col} 46108, 46109, 46110, 46111, …

  1. B24/3/2026

    The value in B2.

  2. B13/27/2026

    The value in B1.

  3. B2-B17

    The - operator subtracts.

  4. B2-B1+18

    The + operator adds.

  5. SEQUENCE(B2-B1+1,1,B1){8 rows × 1 col} 46108, 46109, 46110, 46111, …

SEQUENCE: A grid of sequential numbers. Spills.

    • rowsB2-B1+18
    • columns1
    • startB13/27/2026

In Google Sheets

The same formula works in Google Sheets: =SEQUENCE(B2-B1+1,1,B1). We ran it in Google Sheets mode on the same data and it returns the same results, spilling 8 rows.

Other ways to do it

Each one was run on the same example sheet.

FormulaResultWhen to use it
=B1+SEQUENCE(B2-B1+1,1,0)spills 8 × 1Adds 0, 1, 2 … days to the start date.

Common mistakes

  • Without a date format the list shows serial numbers like 46108.
  • Older Excel has no SEQUENCE: type the start date, put =D2+1 below it and fill down.

Try it yourself

Same data, empty answer cell. Your formula is graded instantly, then re-checked on changed data, so a typed-in number won't pass.

List all dates between two dates

In D2, list every date from the start date in B1 to the end date in B2.

Questions

How do I list only weekdays?

=WORKDAY(B1-1,SEQUENCE(NETWORKDAYS(B1,B2))).

How do I list one date per week?

Give SEQUENCE a step of 7: =SEQUENCE(INT((B2-B1)/7)+1,1,B1,7).
