## How it works

Paste a table from Excel, Google Sheets or a CSV and get 10–12 graded formula exercises built from its columns.

- SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, FILTER, RANK and more, on your columns
- Every exercise checked on changed data
- Nothing leaves your browser

Open it at [Practice on your own data](https://spreadsheetpractice.com/tools/practice-on-your-data). It runs in the browser; nothing you paste is uploaded.

1. Paste cells copied from Excel or Google Sheets, paste CSV, upload a .csv file, or pick a sample table.
2. Check the column types it detected (number, date, category, ID or name, text).
3. Choose Excel or Google Sheets, and build the set. Each exercise is solved in a live grid and graded, then re-checked on changed data.

## What it builds

- Totals and averages: SUM and AVERAGE
- Counting a category: COUNTIF with the category in a cell
- Conditional totals: SUMIFS, AVERAGEIFS and MAXIFS by category, and SUMIFS between two dates
- Two conditions: COUNTIFS on two columns
- Lookups: XLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH, and the row with the highest value
- Locked references: each row's share of the total, filled down with $ signs
- Ranking: RANK.EQ
- Dates and text: days between dates, the month as text, the prefix of an ID
- Dynamic arrays: FILTER, UNIQUE, SORT
