Formula in C2, filled to C6: `=B2*1440`

Result: 75; 45; 150; 8; 185

## How it works

Times are fractions of a day and a day has 1,440 minutes, so multiplying by 1440 gives minutes: 1:15 is 75 minutes and 3:05 is 185.

## Other ways

- `=ROUND(B2*1440,0)`: Whole minutes, which avoids results like 74.9999999. (Rounds to whole minutes when the time includes seconds.)
- `=B2*24*60`: Hours times 60; the same result.

## Common mistakes

- The result can show as a time like 0:00 because it inherits the time format. Format the cell as a number.
- If B2 includes a date, take the time part first: `=MOD(B2,1)*1440`.
